Traditional Dhol

Ask a Bengali and they shall tell you what it means to welcome Maa Durga dancing to the beats of 'Dhak' - an old percussion instrument. Long before, Dhak was referred to as Donka. Dhak and the traditional dhol were used as war drums and in the days of yore were also played in wedding professions - dhakin durga puja.
